Roger Caranci is a strong community leader with deep roots in Ward 1. He has always worked hard for the people who live here. Now, he is ready to serve us again as our City Councillor.

As City Councillor from 2000 to 2010, Roger delivered significant results for us. Among his biggest achievements were championing the Hale-Trafalgar Overpass to ease congestion and make our roads safer, leading the HELP Clean Water Initiative — a $150 million partnership that secured safe, clean water for our entire community, and initiating the renaming of Airport Road to Veterans Memorial Parkway to pay tribute to those who fought for our Canadian freedoms.

Roger is President of Residenza Affordable Housing, which provides 298 affordable homes for seniors, veterans, and low-income families in Ward 1. The group operates entirely on volunteers with no administrative staff. Roger’s team has raised over $100 million to build and sustain quality affordable housing for people who need it.

Roger has served as Chair or Director of more than a dozen local organizations, including the Lake Huron and Elgin Water Boards, London Middlesex Housing Corporation, London Public Library, Crouch Neighbourhood Resource Centre, Covent Garden Market, London Taxi Association, London Towing Association, and the Independent School Bus Operators Association. For over a decade, Roger has shared his insights as a political commentator on Global News and Blackburn News.

Roger will bring his real-world leadership, experience, and common sense back to City Hall for Ward 1.
